Many people skip breakfast when it is supposed to be the most important meal of the day.
With each worker and student’s busy day, many people tend to skip breakfast and choose to eat more during lunch. However, breakfast is a very important meal. A good breakfast fuels you up and gets you ready for the day.
In general, kids and teens who eat breakfast have more energy, do better in school, and eat healthier throughout the day. Without breakfast, people can get irritable, restless, and tired. In addition to that, a prolonged habit of skipping breakfast can lead to even more dangerous health issues.
Ella May Tubio Laosantos got used to skipping breakfast. She would often wake up late, and practically had no time to eat, otherwise, she’d be late to school. It was until she experienced painful and inexplicable symptoms that she began to realize the importance of eating breakfast.
She began suffering from constipation, severe stomachaches, and would occasionally vomit. According to Ella, her vomit has a certain yellowish color and was often acidic in nature. She later learned from her doctor that tests done to her revealed that she was suffering from hyperacidity and peptic ulcer.
Her condition left her with no choice but to cut down on certain foods. And it was until she was later diagnosed with gastritis that her doctor told her to cut down on food in general, as her body could no longer tolerate heavy eating.
In an act to warn others, Ella decided to share her story on social media, warning others to NEVER skip breakfast, and always make sure our stomachs have something to “chew on”.
